Catch up Time
The summer is quickly slipping by and I can not even believe that it is July 11th already. 7-11. WOW.
I have been so happy to go to the mailbox every day. I can't usually say that especially during the summer months with no paycheck. However, the registrations are pouring in and we are beyond the half way mark of filling up. YEAH.
I am also receiving donations as well. Truthfully, they are not nearly as plentiful as in years passed, but that is kinda to be expected.
I need to get working on filling up some vendor spots. If you are a consultant for a home based business and would like to be a vendor or know someone who would, PLEASE have them contact me.
As always, Happy Scrappin and email me at tad64@verizon.net if ya need me.

BAAAAD Blogger
I am a bad blogger and for that I do appologize. Life at the Palatial Durning Estate has been NUTS for weeks now.
Sunday night/Monday early morning wayyy back on Memorial Day weekend, I was awakened to the sound of water at 3:30am. LONGGGGGGGG story short, we had a flood in the UPSTAIRS bathroom. Lovely. Water everywhere, in the ceiling, walls. NOT pretty.
We were very lucky that we were home and got it soaked up quickly. However, by noonish on Monday the ceiling in the kitchen wasn't lookin too good and I took it upon myself to call someone in to professionally DRY the place out.
We were literally out of our house for over four weeks and are just now getting everything put back together. The painting is not to my satisfaction, so the dining room is still full of all of our up top accessories(top of cabinets, plant shelves and wall unit), but after working our rear ends off the last two days, there is significant progress. YEAH.
We are very fortunate to have homeowners insurance, not sure how long til they drop us after this claim, but we are only out our deductible and thankfully didn't lose any personal property other than some towels and linens in our linen closet. If it had been the boy's bathroom upstairs, I don't even wanna think about it. That backs up to my walk in closet in my scraproom with alllllllllllll my albums, photos, OH NO that would NOT be good.
So the bottom line is that I have nearly 40 paid reservations for the crop so far and you can email me at tad64@verizon.net to get a registration form emailed to ya.
Hugs to all and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Happy 4th Birthday
Many people would look at today as a horrid memory, however, I choose to look at it as a day to celebrate. No, not 'cause it is Cinco de Mayo, but rather because it is the day four years ago that I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis.
I would like to believe that in the last four years I have not only accepted what I read on that MRI report before any of the doctors, but that I have come to OWN it.
Even more, I would like to believe that I am MAKING A DIFFERENCE. I sure hope so and I thank you all for the support that you have shown me over the last four years and will hopefully continue to do so.
Happy Birthday Scrappin' Jax. As I have said more times than I can count, "there will always be someone worse off than me."

I am having an "issue" with uploading the registration form to the blog at the moment. M iami Dawn is the GURU so, in the meantime, PLEASE email me at: tad64@verizon.net and I will attach it to your email and send it back to ya.
Also, there IS a block of rooms reserved at the Kenilworth Lodge under MS CROP, so you can already call them and get the special rates available for the event. I have a print out of the rooms available if you would like to know that I can provide it to you as well and their prices, but it is up to YOU to make your reservations.
Okay, now I am off for NSD.

Courage
I have to tell you that I had such an amazing time yesterday at the Project 365 crop hosted this month by Valerie. First I will say what an amazingly gorgeous home she has. WOW. it was absolutely magnificent. Each room more beautiful than the one before. As she gave us the grand tour and I looked in each corner with all the gorgeous glass vases from her store, Val's Basket Warehouse, all I could think of was: Hmmm, wonder how long Joshy would take to break this, that and the other. LOL.
Someday I might be able to have things like that again. It was very nice to meet new 365-ers and Val's sil too. We had a large group with plenty of room and all working on some project or other. We were all surprised when Jean came in and had her gs in tow with her. Drew has grown up so quickly and did a fabulous job of playing with Patches and becoming our group photographer without stepping too far back and into the pool(something I would assume he wouldn't have minded too much cept that he held Dee's Cannon Rebel in his hands).
When I was packing up to leave to give dh some fishing time, Carol arrived(she was suffering with a migrane yesterday so arrived late). We don't get to see Carol often enough so it was good to have her join the group, even if I didn't get to see her for very long.
I had left her a copy of a photo that I had taken at the walk ms event at the zoo a few weeks ago. Her girl scout troop volunteered and did a phenominal job of passing out the magnets to everyone who crossed the finish line at the walk.
I asked her if the girls enjoyed themselves and she responded with a resounding YES. "In fact, at their meeting this week, they were doing some more work on their badge and their discussion was about people who demonstate courage.
"She continued on with the fact that all the girls at the meeting said that I was someone who exemplified great courage.
Needless to say, I walked out of Valerie's home crying like a baby or should I say honestly, crying like a Tinsky. I could hear my father boo hooing in my ear like you can NOT imagine.
THANK YOU Carol and to your scouts for making me take a moment and be humbled. I do try to demonstate strength in adversity and I didn't realize just how much of an impact that I make on others.
So, I greatly appreciate the opportunity. As I sit hear crying once again, I will bow my head gracefully and KNOW in my heart that I DO touch others and that means more than I can put into words.Jax
